Editing Bookmark Properties This Use Case describes the action of modifying the properties of an existing bookmark.

This Use Case requires these three pre-conditions:
  1. The bookmark portlet is present in the portal.
  2. At least one bookmark has been saved in the portlet.
  3. The participant has write privilege on the bookmark application instance for this portal.

  1. Through the bookmark portlet, the participant launches the bookmark application.
  2. The bookmark application lists all bookmarks for that portal (and within the personal portal, all bookmarks available in collaborative portals that the user participates in, if desired...)
  3. The user then selects a bookmark
  4. After a bookmark has been selected, A form is displayed with all pertinent information about the bookmark, such as:
    • Creation date
    • The name of the person who created it.
    • The name of the bookmark (A modifiable field)
    • The target URL (A modifiable field)
    • The name of the portal it is associated with
    • A link that says Delete This Bookmark
  5. The user can change the name or the target of the bookmark, by modifying the values in the modifiable field, then press the save button

If properties are opened up for a bookmark that the participant does NOT have write privileges, then the properties are displayed as unmodifiable fields (i.e., labels instead of text fields).
