It's purpose is primarily to prevent accidents and patrols, clear the beach of people as the incoming tide approaches the sea wall.</i></p><hr/><p>Life saving equipment is inspected daily and maintained or replaced

as necessary. The Patrol has a fully equipped rescue vehicle and is able to respond
|
|
quickly in the event of an emergency.</p><p>Liaison with the Police, Coastguard and Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is maintained throughout
|
|
the year and although not obliged to do so, members of the Patrol will enter the
|
|
