Why do we provide access to the Internet?
</h4><p>
We provide access to the Internet in keeping with our role as
a provider of informational, educational, recreational and cultural enrichment opportunities
for our users.
</p><p>
We consider that it is in the interests of library users and
the free flow of information that we manage web provision with the minimum of filtering
software. However, users should be aware that <span class="gen">enter council name</span> monitors Internet use and some sites will be blocked.

Who can use the internet?
</h4><ul>
<li title="*">Any library member can use the Internet.</li>
<li title="*">All Internet users must sign a declaration form agreeing with our Acceptable
Use Policy.</li>
<li title="*">A parent or guardian of children aged 15 or under must read this Acceptable
Use Policy and sign the declaration form.</li>
<li title="*">The responsibility for overseeing the material accessed by a child, as with
all other library material, remains with the parent or guardian.</li>
<li title="*">An adult must be with children under the age of 9.</li>

What Internet services do we provide?
</h4><ul>
<li title="*">We provide access to the World Wide Web but do not allow
access to Usenet newsgroups.</li>
<li title="*">Users can set up their own web based e-mail account but we
do not provide server based e-mail facilities.</li>
</ul><h4>
How much does it cost?
</h4><ul>
<li title="*">Use of the Internet is free. Users can book on for up to one hour and may have
a further hour subject to the availability of the PC.</li>
<li title="*">Floppy disks cost <span class="gen">enter amount here</span>

<li title="*">Printouts cost <span class="gen">enter amount here</span> for A4
black and white and <span class="gen">enter amount here</span> for colour.</li>

Downloading Information
</h4><ul>
<li title="*">Users can download information on to a floppy disk, which is stored securely
in the library. Only paper and disks provided by the library staff can be used.
To prevent the downloading of viruses on to the network, users cannot re-use disks
once they have been taken out of the library.</li>

You have to be a member of the Library to use the computers but that's no problem.
