They sign an agreement to pay over a fixed period of time. The payment is made on a weekly basis and added to the rent. </i></p><hr/><p>The scheme is available to:</p><li title="*">Introductory Tenants who have moved into an Council home for the first time and do not already have enough furnishings to meet their needs.

</li><li title="*">Any Secure Tenant of Council who is moving from a family-sized property to a smaller one or who needs to move urgently because of serious harassment. </li><p> If you have a furnished tenancy you are responsible for the upkeep of all furniture and fittings and to ensure they are left to an acceptable standard.
